      Hi, I’m Maria, the founder of Away Zealand.

      For me, travel isn’t just about ticking places off a list—it’s about the moments that stay with you, the flavors that bring a place to life, and the people who make a journey unforgettable. I created Away Zealand for travelers who crave more than sightseeing, who seek privacy, authenticity, and deeper connections with a destination.

      Having spent years crafting experiences as Co Founder of Across South America, I’ve always been drawn to places that feel untouched—where nature, culture, and food tell a story of their own. New Zealand, with its hidden wineries, untamed wilderness, and rich traditions, is the perfect place to create immersive journeys that go beyond the obvious.
